from the '50s through the '90s in the Benson Hotel, just a short distance south of this new location.
In early March 2016, a small fire in the medical offices above caused some minor damage to a small patch of the ceiling. Though the repairs were to be covered by insurance, the owners of the location opted to close the restaurant entirely.
I only had drinks here but they were pretty good. The decor was mesmerizing, so much to see. I think it was missing the dark and mysterious lighting at some tiki bars, but that might be out of place here anyway since it seems to be a higher end restaurant. I felt the bar and drinks were more balanced than the ones I had at the Emeyville location. A definite must see.

We had a FaNtaSTIC time at the newly opened Trader Vic’s PDX. The ambiance is right on, a perfect blend of old and new , just the right blend of hip mixed with traditional Polynesian flair. Drinks superbly mixed and food exceptionally done treating your taste buds to flavors not known at regular restaurants. The staff is top notch, first class treatment during the entire stay. I’m giving Trader Vic’s of Portland my top rating ........... Yum + ! Check it out and see if you agree with me......... Cheers :)
