Humuhumu’s description

Tiki Bar is a newer location, opened in 2005 near the Colonia Roma Norte section of Mexico City. The bar has a sleek design, with lots of bamboo. Jorge Alderete designed a logo tiki for them that has been turned into a mug and shot.

I enjoyed my visit to Tiki Bar. The drinks were served in lovely frosted color glasses with floral decor. I actually have some I found at an antique shop in TX.
The decor is nice....bamboo walls...bamboo curtain with design. The music was modern, but makes sense if they'd want people to go there.
The prices are inexpensive!! I think my navy grog was about $6USD. Not bad at all.

I was pretty disappointed when I got here. Yes it's got the Bamboo on the wall and the mugs on the shelf, but it was meh. I tried to order a bowl since it's my Mom's birthday and was told it would be served in this weird vase looking thing. I asked about the mugs on the wall and they said those are only for events. Even the normal drinks are served in tall pilsner plastic beer glasses. The staff was not friendly and the drinks were not good.
