Humuhumu’s description

Sam's Maui is owned by three brothers, Mark, Wyatt and Alan Payne. The trio moved to Okinawa from their original home in Hawaii when their father Ray's employer, Coca-Cola, relocated the family there.
Sam's Maui is a Teppan yaki restaurant with strong Polynesian influences in the decor. The walls are lined in bamboo, there are war clubs and other carvings throughout, and two large Papua New Guinea tikis greet you at the entrance.

If you are Okinawa, you gotta check out any of Sam's resturants. I got the opportunity to visit the place while visiting Camp Foster. The service is great and the food has a unique variety. And naturally, you will find some Japanese dishes on the menu. I would recommend the shrimp. Any of the Sam resturants are a regular place for service members to visit also, so there usually is always someone there working who speaks good English if you have any questions.
