Humuhumu’s description

Whatever tiki elements may have once been at Pandora's are now gone. The restaurant continued to operate for many years with more of a nautical, odds-and-ends look. In 2016 the name changed to AJ's. That restaurant still lives on, but from the point of view of a traveling tikiphile, the Polynesian Pop here is history.

The place has changed into AJ's Grayton Beach from Pandora's. No longer a steak house, they serve seafood and burgers in a more casual atmosphere. Any bit of tiki decor seems to be gone, but the architecture and thatch are still here. Music is AM Gold, cocktails are more beachy than tiki, but the food is decent and the service is attentive and courteous. Not a bad place to grab a bite, but no more tiki than Joe's Crab Shack.

Closed on mondays...not sure if this is per se a tiki bar. There is a nice big patio with thatched roofs over the tables in the back but it resembles more of a beer joint than a tiki bar. I'm the kind of tiki phile that likes the kitsch part of tiki and this place is lacking that for sure. I'm only here one day so I'm not going to officially rate it. By the looks of the website it's more of a fancy steakhouse with a cool back porch
