Humuhumu’s description

Oceanic Arts has been a major contributor to tiki culture since 1956, when it was opened by LeRoy Schmaltz and Bob Van Oosting, who still run the store today. Bob and LeRoy have provided carvings, decorations, signage, light fixtures, and all the outfitting needed for a tiki location to nearly all of the major spots, including Disney. Oceanic Arts is open to the public, and serves as a Home Depot of sorts for the tikiphile.

Hey fellow Critikiers, there's a huge three-weekend Tiki Extravanganza happening in April at Oceanic Arts! The first two weekends are already sold out, but apparently tickets are still available for the third:

Aww man, they just CLOSED FOREVER, after 65 years! It's official on their website... I'm still relatively new to tiki, but I was very much looking forward to getting down there one of these days soon. Here's hoping they resurrect in some form soon, but in the meantime, best of luck to them....

I got to visit a few weeks back. It was amazing and went beyond my wildest dreams. Ooooo the fantasy tiki bars and restaurants I could create with the incredible items for sale there... Man!
I did by some stuff, of course. I also took lots of photos and even some video. You can see it here: https://t.co/adiOiJSgkN?amp=1 This place really is a MUST SEE! Cheers!
