I'm originally from Dallas and as a kid in the 1970's I was always fascinated with the Trader Vic's on Mockingbird that my parents wouldn't take me to. There were flames shooting out of torches, huge carved tikis, tropical plants and gigantic carved Moai. What child wouldn't be fascinated by that? Sadly it closed before I got my driver's license.
Dallas is a tiki desert, but 6 years ago my job transfered me to the tiki wonderland of Southern California and I haven't been happier. Tiki Jones is a regular at 3 locations:
