Skipper Kent's had a sister restaurant, Zombie Village, across the bay in Oakland. This location is now Kennedy's, an irish pub.

Skipper Kent's was a favorite hangout for me and my wife in the 1960's. A large facility, but cozy with lots of nice nooks to hang out. Filled with live plants thanks to large skylight. Drinks were great (Planter's Punch was my favorite, and created a lifelong dependence on Meyer's Rum), and so were the authentic Polynesian artifacts and souvenirs that Skipper collected on his travels- true or not, it was certainly believable! I recall the food was varied and tasty as well. When you were inside, you really had the feeling you were in some far away tropical paradise. The post card pictures are the way I remember it, including the blue map on the wall showing Skipper's sea voyages.
