The Tahitian in Studio City was open as early as 1959, and was the second location—the first one was in Pasadena. The Royal Tahitian in nearby Ontario, CA had identical lettering, and may have been related. The decor was supplied by both Oceanic Arts and Sea & Jungle, with coconut mugs from Spurlin Ceramics. The location is now a parking lot.
