Tiki's Grill & Bar

Visited in October 2009. Given the location (on main drag in Waikiki), I wasn't really expecting much. Although it is a nice place overall - good food/drinks/service; it is like a TGIF, with a tiki room (see photos). Not much real tiki vibe.

This place is too modern. The lava tube room is pretty nice though. There are two different menus, the patio food is cheaper with sandwiches, and I prefer it. The "indoor" menu is kind of expensive, and I wasn't impressed with it. They have t-shirts and stuff for sale, and you can get a souvenier coconut mug to take home.

Update: Tiki's Bar and Grill now serve coctails in tiki mugs, some of them are even limited edition. The drinks are very good as well, and one of them (Pele's Wrath) is served with dry ice. I enjoyed my last visit very much.

If your in Waikiki this place is a must. Good food and drinks are cool, we got the two tiki drinks and the coconut drink.

Tiki's is closed....

Ooops... After looking at the map, my girlfriend and I were possibly looking for this bar in the wrong part of the town.. Have in mind, my rum consumption at this point might have distorted my navigational capabilities. Think there might have been another bar called Tiki's in Waikiki that closed down.

While looking for Tiki's we did stumble on a Tiki-esque dive bar that had all night karaoke and served up Mai Tais for $3.75!!
It was called the Wailana cocktail lounge and was part of a 24 hour cafe at 1860 Ala Moana. We had a killer time!!
