A booth at Trader Vic's Lounge in Beverly Hills

Add it to Critiki! Humuhumu’s description:
This bar is pieced together from remainders of the legendary Beverly Hills Trader Vic's, which closed in 2007 after more than 50 years. A few items from the restaurant were saved and relocated to this new lounge near the hotel's pool. The space is sleek, modern and airy—a sharp contrast to the intimate feel of the old restaurant. Tropical drinks and a few pupus are served in this small, casual space with an outdoor patio.
How to find it:
Trader Vic's Lounge is located by the pool inside the Beverly Hilton hotel, at the corner of Santa Monica Blvd. and Olympic Blvd.
Parking:
Parking is available in the hotel, but it can be pricey—look for metered parking on the streets just to the south of Santa Monica Blvd. instead.

boring corporate attempt at adding revenue to the hotel while faking the visiting people out....they say its a Trader Vics but its actually a small bar off the hotel's new Cica 55 modern restaurant...nice try but the people can tell it's a scam...the bartender readily admits the scam and laughs about it to your face...
Builtiki has visited Trader Vic's Lounge.

Wow, I really miss the old TV @ The Beverly Hilton but I can appreciate the bar here for what it is. It's a compromise BUT at least they have the cocktails right! The space is small and a little on the bright side but it does give you a little TV feeling, especially after a Navy Grog or 2.
