The Bamboo House began its life in 1965 as the Outrigger Restaurant; it is unclear when the name change took place and if there were any other changes that came along with it. Indications are that the place had retained much of its tiki charm. The building was a very tall A-frame, with very large lamps hanging from the ceiling.
Bamboo House was demolished on December 15, 2009. One of the exterior tikis went to a local museum.
