The Shady Dell is a collection of restored midcentury trailers and buses that have been turned into deluxe rental suites for visitors to this remote historic Arizona town. Each of the trailers on the property has a different setup, and one of the trailers is a 1947 Airporter bus that has been turned tiki. It features a handcarved outrigger bar, a kitchen and small bathroom, and a vintage television and phonograph.

I stayed here on a cross country road trip by myself and loved every second of it! I stayed in the Homemade trailer-although I would have loved to stay in the tiki bus, but it was just me and wanted to stay budget--I did get to check out the tiki bus though, since no one was staying it it and it was super cute and authentic tiki kitsch!
I was bummed because Dot's Dinner was closed and no plan to re-open--they did say they were going to add a Drive In Movie screen, and that would be really cool! I think it was really missing a pool, but other than that, it was really a fun place to stay.
