Tonga Lei was a restaurant and motel right on PCH in scenic Malibu, and operated from the '60s probably into the '70s, when it became a Don the Beachcomber. It's now the non-tiki Malibu Beach Inn.

My husband and I.. married now 43 years.. had our fist date at the Tonga Lei.. that would have been in 1967, I believe.. We have great and fun memories of it; it's part of 'our story'.
