The fantastic Kelbo's building is still standing, but unfortunately it holds a strip club, and none of the original decor (by Eli Hedley) remains. There was another Kelbo's location in Los Angeles on Fairfax in La Brea.

Spent several great nights there before it shut down, around 1992 or 1993. Too bad. Long live the Coco Bowl!

Good memories for me here. One of Kelbos Tapa lamps hangs in the Tonga Hut a gift to Jeremy Fleener by a Kelbos family member. You may notice it hanging above the large back booth. Just another slice of history.
