Polynesian Village operated for twenty years, from 1948 to 1968, when it was bought by Bobby Seto, moved to a new location, and was rechristened Aku-Aku. It was located in the Hotel Somerset -- the Somerset's sister hotel in Chicago, the Edgewater Beach Hotel, also had a Polynesian Village.
