D'Oh! Jack's was not a huge place. The decor was a bit surf shack meets Tiki Bar, so not totally authentic. Was open for about 4 or 5 years only. Nice place to hang, but the restoration of Hollywood meant its days were numbered. The building it was in burned in 2008, and whatever was left was knocked down in 2009. Who know what they will be building there, but it's a very hot corner on Hollywood and Vine. I'm expecting a 15 story apartment building eventually, after the economy gets a little better. Until then it should remain a muddy hole in the ground. Sniff.

sat at the bar and while the BARTENDER was watching a CBC ( Canadian Broadcasting Company) show called "Anne of green gables" I had a beer and was not to taken by any TIKI vibe dig ? the place looked cool enough and I really was there to watch Harry Dean Stanten play ,too bad it's gone .Great Location!
