Have a photo or a collectible from The Jasmine Tree?
Add it to Critiki! Humuhumu’s description:
The Jasmine Tree is more of a chinese restaurant than a tiki bar, but the bar area does have some very nice tikis. Notably, some of the tikis are from the Portland Kon-Tiki, including three large cannibal tikis.
However, at the Jasmine Tree, I have been served The Worst Chinese Food I Have Ever Eaten. In February 2006 came reports that the Jasmine Tree would have to either close or relocate, due to an urban redevelopment plan. The Jasmine Tree had to be out of its location by the end of October 2006. In September 2006, the Jasmine Tree closed and its tiki-themed decor was sold to the owner of the new Portland tiki bar Thatch, which opened in early 2007.

I went to Jasmine Tree a few times before it was sadly shut down. I use to attend PSU and would go over to the Noho's food cart for Hawai'ian lunch plate. After lunch I would go over to the Jasmine Tree to hang out with friends. I even have one of their swizzle sticks.
