Matchbook from Trader Vic's in Seattle
date unknown, from the collection of Mimi Payne
Have a photo or a collectible from Trader Vic's?
Add it to Critiki! Humuhumu’s description:
This was the second Trader Vic's, after the Oakland location. It opened in 1948 (originally it was called The Outrigger, the name changed in 1960), and it finally closed in 1992. Some of the decor was caniballized by a local live-music nightclub, the Crocodile Cafe, in the Belltown district of Seattle (you can still find some birdcage light fixtures there). In 1997 it became Nikko, a very popular japanese restaurant. Nikko closed in September 2003.
