This classic Trader Vic's location operated in the Benson Hotel for many years: from 1959 through the '90s. The location is now a steakhouse named El Gaucho. Trader Vic's has announced a return to Portland with a new Pearl District location, opening in June 2011.

The saddest thing about locations like this is they're not there anymore. Seeing a lot of that on Critiki; I hope tiki joints come back into favor...
